Job Summary
RN First Assist will support intra-operative care by assisting the surgeon and performing independent perioperative nursing duties. Responsibilities include facilitating surgical procedures, ensuring necessary trays, instrumentation, and supplies are available, scrubbing and circulating as needed, providing patient and family education, monitoring post-operative recovery for pain and complications, and communicating patient health and operation status to the surgical team and family. The role requires an active RN license (IDFPR) and surgical services nursing experience, with ability to scrub and circulate based on unit needs.
