Job Summary
Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of public right-of-way areas to identify safety risks, maintain a visible presence, and engage professionally with the public. Monitor for suspicious behavior to prevent vandalism, theft, and criminal activity, while warning violators of infractions such as loitering or smoking. Respond to distress calls, alarms, and emergencies by contacting first responders and documenting all interactions in accurate written reports. Ensure all rules and regulations are enforced and pass pertinent information to team members and safety teams. This role requires a valid New Mexico Level II Guard License, a clean driving record, and the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Applicants must be at least 21 years old to drive company vehicles and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants need to be able and willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays, if needed
- Must have a current valid New Mexico Level II Guard License
- Must be able and willing to conduct extended foot patrols of the district area up to and including six hours
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older to drive company vehicles
- High school degree or equivalent
- Valid state driver's license
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience
- Minimum of one year of security experience
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
- Must be able and willing to crawl, crouch, climb stairs, kneel, run, sit, stoop, and walk for extended periods of time
