Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of physician-referred patients to determine effective treatment strategies. Develop and implement individualized programs for orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, and sports-related injuries using manual therapy, exercise prescription, and educational interventions. Deliver compassionate care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated recovery, and provide consultations for patients and caregivers. Track patient progress in electronic medical records while maintaining state licensure and BLS certification. Work onsite Monday through Friday in a therapist-owned private practice serving diverse populations recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (APTA or CAPTE-approved)
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Connecticut
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and basic computer applications for documentation and reporting
- A passion for building relationships and helping patients achieve their functional goals through individualized therapeutic strategies
- A minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist
Desired Qualifications
