Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other conditions to develop personalized treatment plans using manual therapy and exercise programs. Administer strength training and flexibility interventions while maintaining a designated load of one patient per hour. Monitor progress, document care in EMR software, and adjust treatment strategies based on outcomes. Educate patients and families on self-care strategies and preventative measures to support long-term health. Collaborate closely with the small team of therapists and PTAs to ensure integrated care.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Maryland, with no history of board or disciplinary actions
- Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques
- Experience in designing and implementing effective exercise programs
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, such as WebPT
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a physical therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting
- Evident skills in patient motivation and building rapport to foster trust and engagement in the therapeutic process
- A good understanding of evidence-based practices related to musculoskeletal rehabilitation
