Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical capabilities using diagnostic techniques to assess muscle, nerve, and joint functionality. Design and oversee personalized treatment programs while administering manual and therapeutic exercises to enhance mobility. Direct and implement physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and improving functional outcomes for diverse patients ranging from post-surgical cases to those with acute and chronic conditions. Monitor and document client progress, reporting changes to supervising physicians and participating in case conferences to adjust strategies. Evaluate home environments for modifications and instruct clients and families on device usage. Prepare thorough clinical records including discharge summaries and submit them within required timelines. Engage in continuous education to stay abreast of evolving methodologies. Work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Port Charlotte, Florida, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Florida
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to evaluate complex situations
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Creative problem-solving abilities with a focus on patient-centered solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of professional experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably involving acute care or home health
- Familiarity with contemporary physical therapy practices and relevant rehabilitation technologies
- Experience working within an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
