Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to establish individualized treatment plans for individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and age-related mobility challenges. Direct and implement physical therapy interventions focused on enhancing muscle function, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities while providing oversight to physical therapy assistants. Utilize diagnostic tools to assess client function and track progress, then engage in ongoing collaboration with physicians and case managers to modify care plans. Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and device usage, and prepare accurate clinical documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team to contribute to treatment discussions and care plan reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Minimum of two years of experience working as a physical therapist, preferably in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting
- Active physical therapy licensure in the state of Florida
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license with auto insurance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members
- Proficient in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and standards
