Job Summary
Night Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) needed for full-time 7p-7a shift at Methodist Richardson Medical Center. Responsibilities include ABG analysis, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene and airway maintenance, and interpretation of CXR/ABG/PFT data. Proficiency in respiratory assessment and treatment for adults and neonates; equipment maintenance and infection-control duties; documentation and patient communications. Requires graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, current BLS/ACLS, with NRP/PALS to be obtained within 1 year of hire, Texas license, and NBRC registration; new graduates welcome. Prior experience of 6 months preferred. The hospital serves Richardson, Garland, Plano and surrounding areas and has Magnet designation and other recognitions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification
- NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board in good standing
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience preferred
