Job Summary
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides respiratory therapies and diagnostic procedures for adults and neonates, including arterial blood gas analysis (ABG), pulmonary function tests (PFTs), ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene therapy, and airway maintenance. The role requires graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications, NRP/PALS within 1 year of hire, licensure by the Texas Medical Board, NBRC registration, and at least 6 months of respiratory care experience. Performs bedside assessments, interprets CXR/ABG/PFT data, manages cardiopulmonary equipment, and contributes to infection control, safety, and quality assurance under indirect supervision. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Current Basic Life Support certification required
- Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required
- NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support — must obtain within 1 year of hire
- Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- At least 6 months respiratory care experience.
