Job Summary
Full-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) serving Hudson County, NJ, delivering in-home and community-based behavioral support to youth with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities include implementing interventions from Individual Support Plans (environmental arrangement, proactive strategies, acquisition of functional skills, reduction of problem behaviors), submitting visit notes promptly, complying with service authorizations, crisis intervention, following agency policies, and participating in required trainings. Works with Respite Care and Behavioral Assistant cases, supports caregivers, and may work across in-home, in-community, and in-center settings. Must be authorized to work in the U.S., progress toward NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months, progress toward RBT Certification within 6 months, maintain a NJ driver’s license, and pass background checks and a drug screen. Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavior Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the BACB, you must at least have one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities
