Job Summary
Direct rehab care for patients under physician referral and licensed Physical Therapist supervision, implementing treatment plans while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all applicable laws and Life Care standards. Perform competency areas including patient safety, sanitation, and rights, utilizing therapy software accurately to track progress. Participate in community health projects as appropriate and follow department policies regarding harassment, compliance, and the Code of Conduct. Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
- Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
- Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
- Follow physical therapy treatment plans for patients under direction of the supervising PT
- Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
