Job Summary
Set up equipment, troubleshoot adjustments, and perform test runs to maintain product standards and optimal line performance. Read engineering drawings and blueprints to determine production operations, while using precision tools to verify food products and packaging specifications. Execute routine maintenance, cleaning, and waste removal in strict adherence to GMP and Master Sanitation Schedules. Collaborate with staff to resolve issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure continuous quality standards. Maintain BRC audit documentation and support training activities. Operate non-critical equipment and perform smooth product changeovers with accurate time tracking.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally eligible to work full-time in Canada
- 1-2 years of experience working as a machine operator in a continuous process manufacturing environment, preferably food or pharmaceutical
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Ability to work independently, well organized, effective judgment
- Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to understand mechanics and technical tasks
- Excellent attendance record and demonstrated reliability
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, climb stairs, navigate around equipment, and work with a sense of urgency
- Cooperative and works well with others, strong communicator
- Required to be available for a minimum of four shifts per week from Monday to Saturday, with Saturdays being a regularly required shift
- All the shifts are rotational and run for 10 hours with a 30-minute break added
- Must be able to accommodate all the starting times on the specified shift
- Start times could be different every day
- A-Shift start times are between 1:00 am - 9:45am
- B-Shift start times are between 11:30am - 8:15 pm
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma is preferred
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
