Job Summary

Provide overwatch and physical security to collection teams while driving follow vehicles and maintaining situational tactical awareness throughout the shift. Perform rapid site surveys of collection locations to assess safety concerns, monitor the tactical situation, and make accurate evaluations regarding team safety. Deliver and collect cassettes to and from customer locations per assigned route schedules, drive various company vehicles including cargo vans and SUVs, and complete necessary paperwork documenting access to VGTs and RTs. Adhere to established SOPs for terminal loading and collections, maintain continuous communication with security personnel, and respond to workplace violence incidents using appropriate force levels. Provide first aid to victims, display a welcoming attitude, and assist in evacuations during emergencies. Take photos of suspicious persons or situations and distribute them via Slack or to a security supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • Active duty or retired certified Illinois law enforcement officer
  • Minimum of 7 years law enforcement experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Versatility and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong tactical, weapon handling, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Terminal Handler's License from the Illinois Gaming Board
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to maintain situational and tactical awareness throughout the shift
  • Ability to make rapid and accurate decisions regarding safety concerns
  • Ability to make accurate and effective evaluations regarding team safety
  • Ability to deliver and collect cassettes to and from customer locations, per assigned route schedule
  • Ability to drive company vehicles, including various sized cargo vans, sedans, and SUVs throughout the entirety of scheduled shift
  • Ability to complete necessary paperwork to properly document access to VGTs and RTs as well as the movement of Accel property to and from customer locations
  • Ability to adhere to established SOP regarding redemption terminal loading and video gaming terminal collections process
  • Ability to remain alert and always prepared, follow established safety and security protocols, and watch for the accidental mishandling of packages that might result in loss
  • Ability to maintain continuous communication with security personnel while on route
  • Ability to return all valuables handled throughout the daily scheduled route
  • Ability to maintain all certifications, licenses, and training requirements
  • Ability to respond to workplace violence incidents using appropriate levels of force
  • Ability to provide first aid to victims at the appropriate level corresponding to their training
  • Ability to display a welcoming and positive attitude to all persons
  • Ability to respond to weather, natural disaster, structural emergencies, fires, etc.
  • Ability to assist in the event of an evacuation by directing employees to evacuation points
  • Ability to take photos of suspicious persons, vehicles, or situations and distribute via Slack or to a security supervisor
  • Ability to remain certified in CPR/AED and first aid and provide an initial response to medical emergencies
  • Ability to engage in physical techniques to control resisting subjects with an appropriate level of force
  • Ability to utilize hand and finger dexterity, including use of a keyboard
  • Ability to drive long distances for operational activities
  • Ability to engage in rapid physical movements in response to emergency situations
  • Ability to lift/push weights up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust or focus
  • Ability to adjust or focus vision
