Job Summary
Full-time Pilates Instructor needed in San Ramon, CA. Responsibilities include teaching group and private/semi-private Pilates sessions using Mat, Reformer, and other Club Pilates equipment (Chair, Springboard, Cadillac, TRX, Magic Circle); ensure safety and modify/personalize exercises for clients with injuries; develop safe, effective class plans aligned with Club Pilates standards; deliver Intro, group apparatus, private and semi-private sessions; maintain a flexible schedule and opportunities for education and growth.
Required Qualifications
- 200 - 450+ hour comprehensive Pilates education (Minimum education to include Mat and Reformer)
- Capable of using a contemporary approach to classical exercises
- Pleasant demeanor and excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated group Reformer instruction abilities
- Professional and effective communication skills
- Willingness to evolve with new developments in the fitness industry, specifically Pilates
- Passion for learning and willingness to attend continued education trainings and seminars
- Punctual and reliable
- Must be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of Pilates equipment during each class, (minimum to include Mat and Reformer) to ensure a safe yet creative group experience
- Ideal skill set will also include training in the Chair, Springboard, and Cadillac, as well as TRX, Magic Circle and other equipment
- Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and focus on safety with the ability to provide modifications and progressions for clients with injuries and/or limitations
- Stay up to date with, and implement Club Pilates education standards at all times
- Develop and create class plans that are safe, effective, and challenging pursuant to Club Pilates standards
- Provide Pilates instruction to include Intro classes, group apparatus classes, private and semi-private training as scheduled
- Any other duties as assigned
