Job Summary
Physician Assistant x2 in Neuro/MSK at Mississauga Hospital. Role involves performing comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations, daily hospital rounds, evaluating post-operative patients, discharge planning, routine follow-ups, managing prescription refills, and performing minor procedures under supervision; prescribing/ordering specific medications (excluding narcotics) as delegated by supervising physician. Works with an inter-professional team including surgeons, radiology, residents/interns, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other staff. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Certified by the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada
- Eligible or certified to practice as a Physician Assistant in Ontario (or equivalent provincial licensure)
- Ability to work under direction of supervising Neurosurgeon and collaboratively with inter-professional team
