Job Summary
Collaborate with Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities while administering modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound under supervision. Monitor and document patient progress by tracking range of motion and strength improvements, ensuring accurate records for ongoing assessments. Educate patients on maintaining proper body mechanics and home exercise regimens to support their recovery journey. Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring all equipment and supplies are organized. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional flexibility for clinic operations. Provide emotional support to patients across diverse demographics including pediatric and geriatric populations.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current state licensing or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices
- Demonstrable proficiency in executing therapeutic exercises and modalities, with guidance from a licensed Physical Therapist
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients and effectively collaborate with the healthcare team
- A compassionate, patient-centered demeanor with a strong intent to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals
- Capacity to adapt treatments for various patient populations, ensuring customized care plans
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and an eagerness to stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy
- Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Occasional flexibility required to accommodate patient needs and facilitate clinic operations
