Job Summary
Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive patient evaluations and implement interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to relieve pain and dysfunction. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to care plans, conduct thorough home environment assessments, and adjust therapy protocols to maximize functional outcomes. Document all evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Engage patients and families in understanding treatment protocols to promote active recovery. Work onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in New York City, primarily serving adult and geriatric patients with chronic pain, post-surgical recovery needs, and mobility impairments.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid Physical Therapy licensure in New York State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to exercise professional judgment in patient care decisions and delegate tasks appropriately
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- At least one year of experience in a physical therapy role
- Experience within a home care or rehabilitation setting
- Familiarity with the latest therapeutic modalities and techniques
