Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify specific rehabilitation needs and objectives. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy. Guide patients through exercises and functional activities to alleviate pain and enhance physical capabilities while educating them on self-management techniques. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists to coordinate comprehensive care. Maintain an organized treatment area adhering to safety and hygiene protocols. Work Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional flexibility for patient needs. Serve a diverse population recovering from surgeries, athletic injuries, neurological conditions, and age-related mobility challenges.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York
- Proven clinical skills, with at least one year of relevant experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to patient care
