Job Summary
Full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join NHC HomeCare Merritt Island. Supervises and participates in applying physical therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, injuries, or diseases. Coordinates and supervises physical therapy services; provides therapy as ordered by the referring physician and delegates appropriate portions of the treatment program to the licensed physical therapy assistant. Instructs staff in delegated functions, precautions, and progress reevaluations; evaluates and plans treatments with short-term and long-term goals approved by the physician. Requires BS or MS in physical therapy, licensure in the practicing state, and prefers one year supervisory experience. Sign-on bonus offered. EOE. Location: Merritt Island, FL (USA).
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of a BS or MS level course in physical therapy as accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Must be licensed or registered under the statutes of the state in which the physical therapist will be practicing.
- One year’s experience in a supervisory role preferred.
- Active member of the state and national Physical Therapy Association preferred.
