Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations to determine patient physical needs using evidence-based assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique condition while documenting progress. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive care. Educate patients and families on exercise programs and recovery strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and submit charges for services. Supervise assigned support staff to ensure adherence to best practices. Engage in community outreach and leadership functions to increase awareness of rehabilitation therapy. Participate in continuous education opportunities to enhance professional skills. This full-time role involves onsite work at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Saint Petersburg, Florida, with approximately 40 hours per week and potential variable weekend hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Possession of a valid state license in Physical Therapy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records and word processing software
- Must be able to work primarily onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Saint Petersburg, Florida
- Must be available for potential variable weekend hours
- Must adhere to a drug-free workplace
- Must adhere to vaccination requirements
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience
- Familiarity with diverse patient populations
- Understanding of rehabilitation practices
- Experience in a similar rehabilitation setting
