Job Summary
Assess patients' physical abilities and limitations through comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans. Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises while applying modalities such as manual therapy, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound. Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and body mechanics. Document progress meticulously and prepare treatment areas with necessary equipment. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists. Provide encouragement and emotional support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. This home care setting requires adapting to unique patient environments while maintaining high standards of care.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Illinois
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the field of physical therapy
Desired Qualifications
- minimum of one year of clinical experience
