Job Summary
Conduct direct physical therapy treatment to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore function for adult clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain. Perform thorough evaluations using diagnostic tests, administer manual therapeutic exercises, and instruct clients on home programs. Oversee Physical Therapy Assistants, manage prosthetic and orthotic fittings, and assess home environments for independence recommendations. Document clinical records, submit orders, and participate in interdisciplinary case conferences while educating families on care objectives. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations. Full-time, on-site role in Saint Petersburg, FL.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and lead within the context of patient care
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
