Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions to develop tailored care plans addressing individual health objectives. Manage an average patient load of one patient per hour, providing evidence-based therapies that enhance mobility and minimize reliance on medications. Create and implement comprehensive fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual needs, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize care. Monitor and document patient progress accurately, empowering patients through motivation and education to achieve personal health goals. Work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM within our modern 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility, serving individuals with orthopedic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Valid licensure and certification to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York
- No disciplinary actions on record
- Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques
- Demonstrated experience developing rehabilitative exercise programs
- Familiarity with EMR software platforms
- Experience with WebPT
Desired Qualifications
- Proven track record working in outpatient orthopedic settings
- Experience providing interventions that utilize contemporary physical therapy approaches and methodologies
- Previous involvement in collaborative care models
- Hands-on experience with patient progress assessments
