Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions, then develop individualized treatment plans incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities. Implement progressive regimens tailored to patient needs while monitoring progress meticulously and maintaining accurate records. Regularly reassess goals to modify plans as conditions change, provide guidance on assistive devices, and educate patients and caregivers on self-management strategies. Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and seminars to stay updated on best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
- Current physical therapy license in the state of Virginia
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health records and documentation systems
- A genuine passion for patient care and rehabilitation
- A willingness to learn and adapt
- Flexibility and agility in responding to the dynamic needs of patients and the organization
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting
- Experience with or knowledge of specialized therapeutic techniques and equipment
