Job Summary
Implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient mobility, strength, and functionality through guided therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities. Educate clients on proper body mechanics and home exercise programs while administering modalities like electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat or cold therapy. Monitor progress by documenting range of motion and strength improvements, and organize treatment areas to ensure equipment readiness. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists to align approaches for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations. Maintain ethical standards and provide emotional support throughout the rehabilitation journey.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members
- Excellent analytical skills to assess patient needs and adapt treatment strategies accordingly
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and the latest advancements in physical therapy techniques
