Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for patients with orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation cases, and sports-related injuries. Design and execute personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices, implementing manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training. Educate patients and families on movement mechanics to develop home exercise regimens while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including physicians and nursing staff. Maintain accurate patient progress records within the Electronic Medical Records system and commit to continuous professional development in orthopedic physical therapy. Focus on elderly individuals and those recovering from surgeries or sports injuries to enhance functional abilities and promote independence.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Physical Therapy license issued by the state of Florida.
- Hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and engage with patients.
- Have the ability to create and implement targeted treatment plans that align with patient-specific recovery goals.
- Exhibit a genuine passion for helping patients achieve meaningful recovery and improved quality of life.
- Show capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented setting.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience providing physical therapy in an Assisted Living Facility or similar geriatric settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience managing a diverse caseload, particularly focusing on elderly clients or post-surgical patients, is ideal.
