Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine specific needs and treatment objectives. Design and implement tailored treatment programs using manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to facilitate healing. Provide education and training to patients and caregivers to encourage adherence to home programs. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, participating in case discussions and strategy meetings while maintaining accurate patient records. This role focuses on orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases within a therapist-owned private practice in Arlington, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Current valid license to practice physical therapy in Virginia
- Graduate of a program accredited by the APTA or CAPTE
- Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in word processing and basic computer skills
- Minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy
