Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine physical therapy needs and formulate effective treatment plans. Administer therapeutic interventions for orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine conditions while implementing individualized rehabilitation programs and monitoring progress. Provide in-home care when applicable and educate patients and caregivers on conditions and treatment approaches. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize outcomes and meet established utilization goals. This onsite role at our Winchester, VA facility serves a diverse population from pediatric to adult orthopedic cases.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) with accreditation from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program
- Current, valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and foster strong relationships with patients, encouraging a conducive atmosphere for recovery
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in utilizing digital tools for documentation and patient management
- Onsite work at the Rehabilitation Facility in Winchester, VA
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, with a strong focus on evidence-based treatment methodologies
- Previous experience in a clinical setting
- Relevant experience in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation environment
- Specialized training in diverse therapy techniques
