Job Summary
Design and implement individualized therapy plans based on comprehensive patient assessments to maximize mobility and function. Conduct hands-on therapeutic exercises and employ advanced manual therapy techniques using resistance bands and balance equipment. Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations, documenting outcomes and adjusting treatment plans as needed. Provide education and resources to patients and families to promote continued recovery at home. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including occupational therapists and nursing staff, to discuss patient progress and refine treatment approaches. Work with diverse populations recovering from orthopedic surgeries, strokes, and sports injuries.
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state of New York
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in manual therapy techniques
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining accurate patient documentation
- Certifications in specialized therapy practices (e.g., neuro rehab, sports therapy)
