Job Summary
Evaluate patients referred by physicians to identify needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans based on evidence-based practices. Implement therapeutic interventions across specialties including orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes. Provide skilled care in-clinic and potentially in patients' homes, adhering to protocols established with the physician, and consult caregivers on self-management strategies. Achieve minimum utilization goals by participating in outreach and community engagement activities. Full-time role with competitive salary of USD 90,000 to 100,000, full insurance, 401k with profit-sharing, and generous PTO.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program
- Eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in word processing and computer applications
- A strong desire to build relationships with patients, ensuring they feel supported and empowered throughout their therapy journey
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Experience in a similar setting, particularly working with varied patient demographics
- Familiarity with tools and methodologies such as functional capacity evaluations, modality treatments, and patient education techniques
