Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical impairments and functional limitations, then develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician's orders. Monitor patient progress by documenting evaluations, interventions, and discharge summaries in electronic health records while modifying plans to ensure optimal outcomes. Provide training and supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care for patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. This full-time role includes Monday to Friday shifts with rotating weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
- Active licensing as a Physical Therapist in the State of Florida
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and word processing software
- Minimum of two years of experience in a Physical Therapy setting
- Must be available for rotating weekend shifts
