Job Summary
Evaluate patients referred by physicians to devise individualized treatment plans, then implement treatments for orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine specialties. Continuously monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet therapeutic goals while maintaining meticulous records and utilization objectives. Engage with patients and families to provide education on therapy protocols and functional goals, collaborating closely with healthcare providers using evidence-based practices. Work with diverse populations including injury recovery, developmental issues, stroke rehabilitation, and athletic performance enhancement.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program
- A valid state license in Physical Therapy in Florida
- Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical record systems
Desired Qualifications
- at least 2 years of clinical experience
- Experience in a rehabilitation setting working with varied patient populations
