Job Summary
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to prevent disabilities, relieve pain, and restore mobility for post-operative orthopedic patients, chronic condition management cases, and those recovering from acute injuries. Conduct thorough evaluations of functional capabilities through diagnostic tests of muscle, joint, and nerve functions, then administer therapeutic exercises, traction, and massage treatments while motivating patients with functional activities. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, instruct patients and families on device usage, and evaluate, fit, and recommend adjustments to prosthetic and orthotic devices. Document comprehensive clinical records, including progress notes and discharge summaries, and engage in active communication during case conferences to shape holistic treatment strategies.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a physical therapy setting, whether in acute care or home care
- Active PT licensure in the state of Illinois
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
- Excellent communication skills

- The ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced environment
