Job Summary
Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans to prevent disabilities, alleviate pain, and enhance patients' functional abilities. Evaluate patients through comprehensive diagnostic assessments, provide hands-on therapeutic exercises, and monitor progress to adjust care as needed. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during case conferences, document patient care accurately, and educate families on recovery techniques. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to prescribed care plans while mentoring staff in evidence-based practices. This role serves individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical conditions, and chronic pain within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation facility.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in good standing in the state of California
- Current CPR certification
- A valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in an acute care or home care setting
- Demonstrated ability to lead and innovate in therapeutic modalities and patient care
- Familiarity with OASIS documentation and other regulatory requirements specific to rehabilitation facilities
- Working knowledge of physical therapy methodologies and engagement strategies
