Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred for physical therapy, integrating medical histories and clinical tests to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities, to assist in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Set realistic and measurable goals in conjunction with patients, modifying treatment plans as needed based on their progress and feedback. Document treatment sessions meticulously; maintain detailed records of patients' conditions, responses, and results to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients and their families about diagnosis, treatment protocols, and preventive strategies, fostering adherence to prescribed therapies and home activities. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and integrate interdisciplinary approaches to enhance patient outcomes. Stay informed on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices through continuous education, workshops, and professional networking opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid state license for Physical Therapy in Florida
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills
