Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to determine rehabilitation needs and goals. Establish and implement evidence-based treatment plans utilizing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to alleviate pain and restore mobility. Monitor patient progress by documenting treatments, responses, and outcomes to inform future care decisions. Adapt treatment plans based on patient response and changes in condition. Provide education to patients and families regarding exercises, pain management, and assistive device use. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, licensure maintenance, and industry best practices. Work with diverse patient populations ranging from children to adults in a supportive outpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- A valid state license for Physical Therapy in Virginia
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective patient interactions and documentation
- Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and demonstrate flexibility in treatment approaches
- Commitment to pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a clinical setting
- Experience in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting related to orthopedics, geriatrics, or pediatrics
