Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, including assessing mobility, strength, and pain levels to develop tailored treatment plans. Employ a variety of rehabilitation techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment, to facilitate recovery and enhance mobility. Monitor and document patients' progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on specific responses and outcomes observed during therapy sessions. Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and families on effective therapy techniques and tools, enabling them to take an active role in the rehabilitation process. Advocate for patients by recommending suitable assistive devices and modifications that support their daily living activities and mobility goals. Participate in ongoing professional development activities to maintain up-to-date knowledge in physical therapy practices and advancements. This full-time position is primarily onsite at our advanced rehabilitation facility located in Charlottesville, a vibrant community known for its historical significance and beautiful landscapes.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- A valid state license in Physical Therapy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using word processing software
- Computer skills relevant to documentation and reporting
- Ability to remain flexible and adaptive in a dynamic healthcare environment
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a clinical rehabilitation setting
