Job Summary
Develop individualized treatment plans for orthopedic and sports patients, conducting thorough evaluations using diagnostic tests to tailor interventions for pain relief and functional restoration. Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and prosthetic/orthotic modifications while assessing home environments to enhance client independence. Oversee physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to protocols, and document all clinical sessions, care plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with state laws and internal policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in onsite meetings to discuss patient progress and educate families on exercise techniques and device usage. Submit all paperwork timely and engage in ongoing learning to adapt best practices based on current research.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey
- Proven history of safe and effective physical therapy practice, free from sanctions or disciplinary actions
- Strong mastery of various manual therapy techniques and exercises tailored to diverse patient needs
- Ability to effectively utilize EMR software, especially Web PT, to maintain detailed and accurate records
- Current knowledge of physical therapy treatments supported by empirical research, ensuring evidence-based practices
