Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive consultations to assess physical conditions and diagnose movement dysfunction, then collaboratively develop tailored treatment plans. Instruct patients on therapeutic exercise techniques and utilize modalities including manual therapy, massage, and adaptive equipment to promote healing. Maintain meticulous patient records to track progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team. Advise patients and families on in-home treatment options to encourage ongoing recovery. Work onsite in a fully equipped Chesapeake facility with Monday through Friday hours, providing personalized care for pediatric and elderly populations.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a Doctor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Active state license in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
- Strong communication skills—including both verbal and written—to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Proficiency in using electronic record-keeping systems and basic word processing software.
Desired Qualifications
- At least two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience in a rehabilitation facility.
- Familiarity with the latest therapeutic techniques.
