Job Summary
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to assess functional mobility and physical capabilities. Develop customized treatment programs incorporating evidence-based strategies tailored to individual recovery goals. Implement therapeutic modalities and exercises aimed at restoring function, reducing pain, and enhancing patients' agility. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, self-management techniques, and preventive measures to ensure sustained recovery. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes to inform ongoing care and compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes by sharing insights and strategies. Work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Port Charlotte, Florida, serving diverse populations including orthopedic, pediatric, and sports medicine patients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Physical Therapy License in the state of Florida
- Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to establish and maintain relationships with patients, caregivers, and colleagues
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in physical therapy, particularly in outpatient settings
- Experience working with a variety of patient populations, especially in orthopedic, pediatric, and sports medicine
- Familiarity with patient management software and electronic health records
