Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations to develop effective treatment plans, implementing exercise regimens, manual therapy, and therapeutic equipment to manage pain and enhance mobility. Track patient progress by maintaining detailed documentation and adjusting plans as necessary to meet therapeutic goals. Provide education to patients and families on treatment processes, self-care strategies, and assistive device usage. Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams by sharing insights on patient progress and treatment effectiveness. Work onsite at the Newport News facility from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a salary range of $90,000 to $110,000.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
- Two years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist, demonstrating clinical proficiency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with patients and other health care professionals.
- Proficiency in computer systems and word processing to manage patient records and documentation effectively.
- A flexible and agile approach, adapting to the varying needs of patients and the dynamic work environment.
- Commit to lifelong learning by attending relevant workshops, participating in professional societies, and staying updated with the latest in physical therapy practices and innovations.
Desired Qualifications
