Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions, including reviewing medical histories and performing specific assessments. Clearly communicate evaluation findings and collaboratively establish treatment goals with patients and their families. Design and implement effective treatment protocols tailored to individual needs, adapting based on progress and healthcare standards. Consult with other healthcare professionals when required, documenting changes in patients' conditions that necessitate modifications to care plans. Oversee discharge planning and ensure appropriate follow-up care is scheduled with timely documentation of all patient activities. Engage in marketing efforts within the hospital and local community to promote services. Work onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Fairfax, Virginia, primarily with patients experiencing orthopedic and neurological conditions.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee
- A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation or related setting
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members

- Experience working in a rehabilitation facility
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management
- Involvement in community outreach or education initiatives within the healthcare field
