Job Summary
Implement individualized treatment plans under Physical Therapist supervision using rehabilitative techniques to foster patient recovery. Guide clients through therapeutic exercises while monitoring progress, documenting performance, and maintaining accurate clinical records. Educate patients and families on treatment procedures and home exercise programs to support ongoing rehabilitation. Work with diverse demographics ranging from post-surgical patients to those managing chronic pain in a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- An associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program
- Active Missouri Physical Therapist Assistant license or in the process of licensure
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude
- The ability to establish rapport with patients
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Prior experience working in a hospital or rehabilitation center
- Experience in utilizing rehabilitation technologies and electronic health record systems
