Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician responsibilities include interacting with patients at various service points, promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services, inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system, creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims, retrieving medications from inventory, completing paperwork for prescriptions, ordering medication for the Pharmacy Department, stocking medications, maintaining organization and confidentiality, and providing excellent customer service while supporting patient care. The role requires licensed or eligible status in the applicable state, proficiency in typing, neat penmanship, strong organizational skills, teamwork, and adherence to Meijer policies. Prior experience in Retail/Community Practice and a positive attitude are valued; training is provided if licensure is not required in the respective state.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED
- Licensed in their respective state if required.
- Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
