Job Summary
Distribute pharmaceuticals, perform inventory control, complete compliance audits and financial transactions, provide customer service, and maintain pharmacy records as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team under licensed Pharmacists. Utilize technical functions within the pharmacy while demonstrating leadership and effective communication skills. Requires National Certification through PPTB or NHA, two years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred, and valid Iowa driver's license with auto insurance. Schedule includes 34 hours weekly with weekend rotations every fourth weekend.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- National Certification through PCTB or NHA
- Licensed with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician within one year of employment
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Computer literacy and functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Valid Iowa driver's license
- Satisfactory motor vehicle record requirements
- Own auto insurance policy
