Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess pediatric physical therapy needs, establishing baselines and identifying specific problems. Design, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices, then regularly monitor and reassess patient progress to adapt strategies and achieve goals. Document thoroughly in the electronic record system with SOAP notes and care plans while educating patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary peers across disciplines to ensure cohesive care and meet utilization goals. Work onsite Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM at our New York City rehabilitation center.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- A Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Current and unrestricted licensure by the New York State Board of Physical Therapy
- Ability to conduct evaluations and provide treatments in both physical and telehealth settings as clinically appropriate
- A strong desire and adaptability to work with diverse patient demographics, ensuring inclusive care for children of all ages and backgrounds
- Exemplary collaboration and teamwork skills, with a focus on high-quality customer service and patient care
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience in pediatric physical therapy
- Experience with electronic health record systems for efficient documentation and patient management
