Job Summary
Support RNs by developing age-appropriate learning and socialization skills for children while monitoring their health, behavioral, and emotional needs. Provide clinical support including preparing formula, documenting vital signs, assisting with diaper changes, and performing various patient care tasks as needed. Maintain a safe environment by sanitizing equipment, restocking patient towers, operating laundry machines, and completing weekly chore lists. Carry heavy equipment up to 50 pounds on stairs and manage "To-go" supplies for the nursing team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with children (in a childcare or healthcare setting)
- Must be age 21+
- 18+ and enrolled in an accredited degree program
- Have completed an associates degree
- Have a license with the department of health (such as a CNA license)
- HIV/AIDS Bloodborne Pathogen Training
- CPR or ACLS or PALS and First Aid
- Washington State Food Handlers Permit
- Required Immunizations and Negative TB Test
- Successful Completion of Background Check
- Perform effectively in environments with frequent workload changes and competing demands
- Perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload
- Anticipate, recognize and resolve problems
- Perform repetitive work according to set procedures
- Recognize an emergency situation and take appropriate action
- Maintain a positive, optimistic, and success-oriented attitude
- Exercise professionalism, which includes being tactful and courteous
- Maintain consistent attendance, and demonstrate ability to pick up open shifts when necessary
- Continuously promote a safe work environment
- Must have a working cell phone, and must be able to access and communicate with emails, and other work related applications via phone
- Must be open to learning new tasks on the job, as delegated by the direct supervisor
- Able to communicate with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds including patients, team members and supervisors
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more ascending stairs
Desired Qualifications
- Current student in Associates in Nursing or Bachelors in Nursing program
- Experience working with children in a healthcare setting
