Job Summary
Greet patients upon arrival, check them in, and create new patient charts in the computer system. Collect co-pays, coinsurances, and back balances while verifying and setting correct insurance to the chart in Next Gen. Obtain photo ID and insurance cards, scan them into the system, and resolve claim edits at check out. Ensure procedures and studies are scheduled, give preop instructions, and confirm appointments for the following business day. Balance receipts, reconcile daily work batches, and prepare end-of-day packets for SOX-approved workflows. Maintain a pristine, professional office environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years minimum front office experience in a medical environment
