Full-Time Paraprofessional at Sunnyside Intermediate School

Full-Time paraprofessional supporting a specific student under the supervision of special education or classroom teachers. Responsibilities include ensuring safety and instruction across activities, confidential handling of student records, supporting academic, emotional, and behavioral needs per the IEP, assisting with transition between locations, and collaborating with therapists and staff on instructional objectives, reading and math programs, crisis intervention, and use of assistive technology. Requires assisting with arrival/departure, accompanying the student in various settings, functional assessment data collection, tutoring, implementing behavior management, preparing instructional materials, recording performance and behavior, attending IEP meetings, and supporting staff with IEP-related tasks.
