Job Summary
Provide 1:1 student support, access to support, and program support for special education students under teacher direction. Deliver positive guidance that communicates dignity and respect while assisting with personal care needs and explaining curriculum expectations. Work Monday through Friday during instruction sessions, adhering to a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. Maintain organization and time management skills while collaborating professionally with staff, parents, and other providers. Some lifting and frequent movement is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be Highly Qualified
- Completed at least two years of college coursework with 60+ credits
- Hold an Associate's Degree or higher
- ParaPro Assessment - Qualifying score of 460+
- Dependable Attendance
- Ability to explain curriculum expectations following directive from teacher
- Ability to work professionally with staff, students, parents and other providers
- Ability to provide positive guidance to students in a manner that communicates dignity and respect
- Basic understanding of technology
- Ability to assist with personal care needs
- Able to sit, stand, bend, and walk frequently
- Some lifting may be required
- Experience and/or knowledge of behavioral management techniques

Desired Qualifications
