Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside on campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, providing care, mentorship, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student-home. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive coverage, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid time off. Qualifications require experience with youth, a legally married two-person couple, both spouses aged 27+, HS diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, Valid U.S. driver’s license, and completion of individual employment applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
